Eric, I am so sad to hear of Bud's passing. I had the greatest respect for him and consider him as a mentor because he taught me how to live a good life and smell the roses as you go along. In addition to my parents, I have learned a lot from many people like Mrs Bartels, my high school chemistry and physics teacher who gave me my terrific start in science, Doc Smith in Pharmacy College who taught me to be accurate, the determined, strong-willed, never give up Woody Hayes who tried harder than any of his competition, and Morgan Allison, Bill Wallace,Wayne Hiatt, Orville Russell, and Allen Blair on how to give anesthesia, and your dad on how to live life the right way. I will miss him but his life will live on in the lives of my children and their children and my residents and their children, with all of whom I share his wisdom.
